I got to know Karen Gilbert through his work for "Painting with Friends" Initiative (French Terry), probably some of you know who I'm talking about. He lives in Australia, very near the region of Queensland which was recently hit by the massive flooding.

He had an idea very nice and supportive, that has created an e-pattern with one of his drawings and the proceeds will be donated to help the people affected by flooding in Australia and Brazil.

Questo è l’ultimo lavoro che ho dipinto per “Painting with Friends”, l’iniziativa di Terrye French.

E’ un esperimento che ho provato a fare, ho voluto riprodurre un paesaggio notturno con la luna piena e la sua luce.

 

 

L’ho dipinto su di una scatola di legno di quelle che contengono le bottiglie di vino e questo è il risultato …

 

 

… devo dire che è proprio difficile riprodurre ciò che si ha in testa ben chiaro e definito, però mi accontento.

Sweet Dreams "on the Fogasa gradele" Hasten

From country to country painting cake is a short step! This morning we lit the fireplace and I had the wish to prepare this cake.

More precisely it is a sweet cake typical of the area of \u200b\u200bLake Garda, Verona side.

Its main ingredient is extra virgin olive oil that I come from and certainly do not lack is of good quality.

do not know the precise origins but "on the Fogasa gradele" or focaccia on the grill (cooked on the grill) is very popular in my part and certainly is a sweet coming from the countryside and poverty.

I learned it from my mom, which I always told the grandmother who cooked this cake for a table with ten young brothers and sisters that if plucked from the hands ...

And 'good food alone or "puciata" in milk.

But now it's time to show you the recipe and steps:

join a bowl A 500 gr. white flour, a handful of corn flour, a pinch of salt, 2 tablespoons sugar, one packet of yeast.

Comincio quindi ad impastare usando le mani e verso il composto sull’asse di lavoro

 

 

 

 

Ora divido l’impasto in uguali porzioni e comincio a stenderne una con il mattarello

insieme ad Aba ed Alessia con cui condivido il blog “color&brush”, abbiamo ideato un nuovo

PAL

 

ed esattamente un PAL with surprise!!!

Andiamo però con ordine e cominciamo a spiegare,

a chi non lo sapesse, che cosa è il PAL

(Paint A Long):

consiste nel realizzare un dato progetto 

nell'arco di un mese o di una stagione

a seconda che il PAL sia mensile o stagionale,

ed in genere dura un anno.

 

Questa è la nostra idea:

1 - sarà un PAL mensile con 10 progetti in tutto, vengono esclusi i mesi di gennaio (per motivi organizzativi) e il mese di agosto.

2 - il primo giorno di ogni mese viene assegnato un tema (es. marzo: mucca), chi partecipa deve scegliere un progetto a suo piacimento, di un'artista o personale, che riproduca il soggetto assegnato.

3 - entro e non oltre la fine del mese, ci dovrete far pervenire via mail (colorandbrush@gmail.it) una foto del lavoro eseguito indicando il vostro nome e quello dell'autrice del pattern o libro da cui avete preso il progetto.

4 - mensilmente tutti i lavori verranno pubblicati su un blog  created specifically for the PAL will start as soon as the initiative.
