The Feast of the Goat is a great novel "revolutionary" , a novel which denounces violence barbaric intensity of a dictatorship, showing "that the gutters and tears of blood that" every tyranny that has bloodied the history of many Latin American countries.
Santo Domingo and its dictator, Trujillo, are the heart of the novel : a state to satisfy the Chivo the Goat, he sacrificed himself, sold and corrupted the hearts of men, has allowed its women to become the plaything of an old ugly, he offered her virginity to rape to satisfy his sexual frustrations. The various sycophants surrounding the dictator, in everything from blackmail him, gave him the soul partly out of cowardice (and they were the best), and in part to full membership of the criminal power project.
But, as always happens, fortunately, there are those who rebel : some do it for a deep awareness of the horror that is taking place, or in revenge for a wrong suffered, or rebellion when the loyalty scheme imposes unnatural acts.

La seconda vede i preparativi dell'attentato al "Caprone" e le storie individuali degli uomini che stanno per eseguire l'agguato al dittatore, e i percorsi che hanno portato people between their different cultures and social status to a common destiny.
